The Star Library

The Star Library is a motif from Lillrum, from the collection The Tales of the Winds – where books, stars and whales meet in a nocturnal dreamscape.

In this work, a tall library rests on soft clouds. A ladder leads up to rows of books in a thousand colors, while the stars shine as if they too are waiting to be read. Whales glide silently through the night. The full moon watches over it all – like an open book, in mid-air.
