The children's room as an inner landscape

It's me who is Ella.

I create visual children's rooms – but it's about more than just color and shape. It's about a longing to preserve the innocence that is so often lost in the adult world.

In my work, I try to make room for that soft and magical thing we often silence as adults. The imagination, the security, the play – not as naivety, but as a strength we need to be whole.

For me, the children's room is a free zone. A room where the inner self can take its place. Where color and shape can speak without being limited by logic or expectations. I think that even adults long for such rooms – we've just forgotten it sometimes.

Visualizing rooms for children is my way of defending the beauty that doesn't always have a place in a rational world. It's my way of taking responsibility for beauty. And maybe, in some way, even for the little version of myself.
