Behind Lillrum is me, Ella – with a longing for children's rooms to be more than just practical. They should spark imagination, offer security and be beautiful in a way that makes both children and adults feel comfortable.

About Ella and Lillrum

The children's room as an interior landscape

My name is Ella and I am the founder of Lillrum.

At Lillrum we work with children's rooms as inner worlds – rooms where form, light and color create security, rhythm and tranquility.

My focus is on the timeless: proportions that soothe, colors that breathe, and motifs that grow with the child. As an illustrator, I create posters that act as visual anchors in the room. They are not decorations, but part of the same design philosophy – motifs that provide direction, rhythm, and a low-key presence.

For me, a children's room is a haven from the intensity of today. Nothing should impress here – just deepen the child's own world.

Lillrum works based on that principle: an aesthetic that carries warmth, psychological balance and long-term beauty.
