Vindarnas sagor – en lågmäld revolt mot tempot

Tales of the Winds – a low-key revolt against the pace

As a child, I often dreamed that I could float.
That gravity didn't apply to me.
The great thing was that I couldn't just float – I could also fly.
And it was never dramatic, never a high-speed adventure.
Everything went slowly. Softly. Harmoniously.
I could feel everything that was happening within me, but also around me.
I still remember those dreams, so clearly.

And not so long ago – sometime last year – such a dream returned.
It was the starting point for something I had been carrying around for a long time, but hadn't really dared to articulate:
A longing to create worlds where not much is done.
Where you can just... be. Float. Stay.

When I started working on the collection Vindarnas sagor, it was exactly the feeling I was looking for.
A quiet revolt against the pace.
A low-key tribute to inner worlds that don't always fit into an adult schedule.
It's not escape – it's a return visit.
Maybe I've managed to convey that feeling in the pictures. Only you can feel it.

But I think we have all, at some point, been in contact with that dream world.
That place within us where the air is lighter. Where time is less sharp.

I wanted to create images that breathe. Not shout.
Worlds where you can stand still for a while. Look out. Stay.
Like children do, without asking permission.
And as adults sometimes forget that they get.

The motifs in The Winds' Tales are dreamlike, but not naive.
They are detailed, but quiet.
And even though they are created for children's rooms, they carry something that I think many adults long for:
A little softer. More beautiful. Quieter.

I see them as gates.
Not for escapism – but for anchoring.
In what is greater than surface area and pace.

Creating this collection has felt like a privilege.
It's a reminder to myself of why I run Lillrum.
Not to decorate – but to awaken something.
And to preserve what is worth remembering.

Welcome to Ella's little world.
The Tales of the Winds is now available as Fine Art or Semi Glossy posters, with or without magnetic hanger or frame.

All motifs are created exclusively for Lillrum.
And yes – I already have a favorite.

Two posters from The Tales of the Wind – one with floating whales among clouds and celestial bodies, one with a tall library on a cloud under a starry sky with whales floating in the air.
