Shop the look: simple and timeless children's room decor

This is a combination I really like – Deluxe Children's Bed and Bundle Mads Table with Two Chairs from Hoppekids . Two pieces of furniture that show that children's room decor doesn't have to be complicated to feel well thought out.

The Deluxe Children's Bed is both practical and beautiful in its simplicity. The large drawers under the bed provide plenty of storage in the children's room , and the design remains calm and timeless no matter what colors or textiles you choose around it. I like how it blends in but still creates structure – a kind of discreet framework for the rest of the room.

Bundle Mads table and chairs are a perfect little place for crafts, breakfast or creative moments. I like that the furniture feels stable without being heavy, and that the clean wooden design makes it easy to combine with other children's furniture . They fit just as well in a colorful room as in a more neutral interior.

Together, it creates a base that lasts a long time – furniture that grows with the child and provides space for both play and rest.

Small wooden figures that bring life to the children's room

I was immediately drawn to these little wooden figures from Pinguinchen – simple, warm and full of character. There is something special about their expression, as if each figure carries its own little personality. My favourite right now is the birch – it feels both Nordic and playful, a perfect detail in a children's room that should feel lively yet calm.

All the figures are handmade from natural wood and painted with soft colors that go well with both bright and colorful walls. I like how they can stand on a shelf as small works of art, but also function as durable toys in a child's everyday life.

The triceratops, apple tree and birch make a nice trio – a little world in itself. They can be found at Kidsdecor.se and directly from Pinguinchen.de .

Wall decals that lift the entire room

A wall decal can transform a child's room in minutes – without having to repaint or do anything fancy. I especially like this one with hot air balloons from Kidsdecor.se . It has something dreamy about it, like a quiet story in the middle of the room.

The colors are soft yet vibrant, and the motifs – with animals, clouds and balloons – mean it works just as well in a playful room as in a more subdued one. That’s exactly what I like about wall decals: they can create a mood without taking over.

For me, children's room decor is about balance - allowing for imagination but still maintaining calm. This decal does just that.

Playful design that makes the children's room fun to keep tidy

This combination from Bloomingville Mini shows how children's room decor can be both smart and playful at the same time. I like how each piece has its own personality, but still works together as a calm whole.

Space Basket is an example of storage that actually becomes part of the game – a basket that looks like a space rocket. It's charming, but also practical when you want to quickly tidy up.

The Chola Rug, with its checkered pattern in brown tones, adds warmth and structure to the room without taking over. It ties the whole together and creates a grounded feel.

The Oswall Coat Rack and Arnie Bench are two favorites – little details that make everyday life more fun. I like how Bloomingville manages to create furniture that feels like figures, without losing style.

Posters: Tales of the Winds

My collection, Tales of the Winds, is about movement, dreams and stillness all at the same time. I wanted to create something that feels both imaginative and peaceful – images that arouse curiosity but still bring peace to the room.

The motifs are like little stories: whales floating among clouds, a library in the sky, and a gateway to something unknown but friendly. I often think about how children interpret images without words – how they can dream away and create their own worlds. That was exactly the feeling I wanted to capture.
